I read The Total Money Makeover in FOCUS, but never really took it much further than that, mostly because I never had money to manage. Ha! I’ve recently made some pretty stealthy “gazelle”-like lifestyle changes and am preparing to attack this mountain of debt head on. The FPU would be a great motivator and accountability partner. Thanks for this opportunity!!!

I know that God specifically called me to attend Auburn because he would bring FOCUS there and change my life, but I’m determined to be debt free by 30 and I need a coach!

What a great gift. Dave Ramsey’s principles have helped so many. Especially needed in our culture today. We read 7 Steps to Financial Freedom when we first got married and it was a huge help in helping us have a budget, pay off our student loans, and save for the future.

Amanda, I am really enjoying your blog! I think I would love these courses. I remember laughing through much of his book. For some reason I can budget for a conference, but not for my own home. Good grief!
I totally understand that. I would do the same thing – budget for sorority positions or missionary events…but not for myself. Eep! 🙂
I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog Amanda and Jonathon. We never read all of Dave Ramsey’s stuff other than what I learned while on staff but have used his basic philosophy of snowballing debt away.Sean and I paid off our student loans this Spring and our now attacking an old medical bill from Sean’s college years. We cannot WAIT to be debt free and start saving for a house!! Good for you guys for being debt free!

I came to look for updates to your blog as I’m listening to Dave Ramsey in the background, ha 🙂 My husband and I would love to attend these classes as we’ve been working the Dave Ramsey plan since we received The Total Money Makeover during our engagement a year and a half ago. It’s been going slowly as we’ve been walking the infertility journey this past year (which brought me to your blog) and FPU would be a great shot to helping us become more “gazelle-intense.”

Thanks for all your posts! I’ve really enjoyed reading them and using your tips. I’ve made some extra cash this summer by selling things on Craiglist which is super helpful for a grad student-so thanks for suggesting that & Ebay. My boyfriend and I have been discussing engagement. With us both being teachers we’ll be on a tight budget once we’re engaged as well as he has some student loans and a car payment. I’d love to learn how we can stay out of debt and live on a budget.

I have already been through FPU so I’m not registering, but just had to say how AWESOME this is! FPU changed the way I look at money! You are giving an incredible gift to three very blessed people!!
We’ve completed Baby Step 2 but have never been to FPU!
We could definitely benefit from learning more about budgeting and planning for the future. I’ve heard great things about Dave Ramsey too.
