Adoption

Though we had talked and prayed about it for a while, we formally started the adoption process (and its mountain of paperwork) in May of 2014. We were matched in July, and little Josie was born and joined our family in November.

Through our puzzle fundraiser on this blog, our readers raised $19,000 to help cover our adoption costs.

Below is a collection of some of our adoption posts. Hope you enjoy them.

Congratulations!!! I would like to share an organization I’m part of that helps fund adoptions. It’s called Noonday Collection. Noonday creates job opportunities and sustains artisans from all over the work. You could host a party (or a friend could do it for you) and 10% of purchases goes toward funding your adoption. I’m not sure where you live, but I’m sure there is an ambassador near you. Please visit naomisevart.noondaycollection.com for more information. 🙂

Hi there! This is such a beautiful way to help bring a child into your family. Here in Illinois we have a Save Abandoned Babies Foundation, which coincides with the Safe Haven Act where mothers can safely drop off their infants under 30 days to hospitals, fire and police stations. I don’t know if you have anything similar in your state, but perhaps try and contact these foundations to let them know you’d like to take in an abandoned baby, if that’s what God’s calling you to do.
